About

Reflecting the Savior

            …is a web site created to serve the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  It is our desire to help reveal the glories of God in the good times and bad, to inspire followers to be a light in the world, and to encourage and equip disciples so that their lights will shine on their good works to the glorify of our Father in heaven.
            The foundational piece of the web site is the weekly message entitled Reflections. From his personal quiet times, Richard Wilson shares some of his own reflections and discoveries of God working in his life and in the lives of others. The prayer is for Reflections to help others discover ways that God has also been using their lives in His great design; and that it will serve to reinforce, encourage and enrich their spiritual lives. Our desire also is that Reflections may inspire the discovery of new dimensions that enhance the meaning and purpose of your life—that indeed, “You are the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:14)
            In addition to Reflections the content of the web site includes:
·        An inventory of the most recent Reflections
·        Archives of Reflections organized by topic
·        Small group study guides and Bible study aids;
·        Links to other web sites that might be helpful
·        Email subscription to Reflections each week.

The theme verse of Reflecting the Savior is Matthew 5:14, “You are the light of the world.” Jesus commissioned each of us to “go into all the world…” (Mark 16:15). The world however includes much more than remote places in third world countries. The world includes common places—like right where you are right now; and the world does not come around only on Sunday morning or after 5:00 on weekdays. The world is 24/7 and from where you currently sit, you are Reflecting the Savior.
Reflecting the Savior is overseen by a team of encouragers that are dedicated to sharing the message of Christ. The team is headed by Richard E. Wilson, founder of Reflecting the Savior. Richard is a business man, and elder of First Presbyterian Church San Antonio, Texas, and is active in several Christian based organizations. With his wife, Janice, he lives in San Antonio, Texas. They have two married sons and five grandchildren.
